Failure breeding is where you breed with the intention of creating the parent monster(s). Ways to increase the odds of a successful breeding attempt are to feed the parent monsters (e.g., breeding a Drumpler means that the Noggin and Mammott are the parent monsters) to higher levels and to light up the Wishing Torches. They have very specific breeding combos for each island they are present on, and cannot breed themselves. In terms of breeding, Epic monsters are the exact opposite of rares. Rare monsters can also be used in breeding attempts in place of their natural counterparts. Rare monsters are bred in the exact same manner as their normal counterparts (except for single-element monsters, which are created from two triple-elemental parents who have the target element). It will take 12 hours, 38 minutes, and 15 seconds to breed. Rare Humbug can either be teleported to Ethereal Island when fed to level 15, or bred there with any combination that would result in a Humbug. It has coin rates comparable with Rare Quarrister to Epic Quarrister depending on your coin collection schedule. Rare Humbug has a great coin production on Earth Island that is bested by very few Monsters. By default, its breeding time is 1 day, 21 hours, and 30 minutes long. It is best obtained by breeding Quarrister and a triple-element Monster. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. It was added on May 14th, 2016 during Version 1.4.1. Rare Humbug is a single-element Rarethereal Monster.
